August Catechetical Leader Summit

Who is this for?
This event is for Catechetical Leaders across the Diocese of Davenport:

• Initiation Ministry (OCIA, Confirmation Prep., etc.)

• Children's Ministry (DRE / CRE & intergenerational)

• Youth Ministry (YM's or Campus/Young Adult Ministry) 

• Adult Ministry (Coord. of Bible Studies / Adult Formation Programming) 

• really anyone doing the work of coordinating Catechesis

If you're still not sure, you are welcome to reach out and ask if this event is for you!

A day for new energy and renewal...
A day of reflection and spiritual renewal in preparation for the 2025-26 programming year...

...are you needing:

• New energy for this programming year?

• A space to breathe and find new life?

• A place to meet individuals like yourself?

• Some helpful skills in building resiliency? 

Spend the day with national speaker Mike Patin and Bishop Dennis Walsh, as well as with the diocesan community of Catechetical Leaders.

We not only will be developing a personalized spiritual toolkit and coaching from Mike Patin on identifying how to build resiliency in the mission field.

We also will celebrate Mass as a diocesan community of Catechetical Leaders with Bishop Dennis Walsh.

This of course includes the opportunity to share and network with peers from across the diocese.

Date & Details
August 13 2025 at St. Mary's in Riverside - programming begins  promptly at 9:00 AM and you are out the door by 3:00 PM

General Schedule of the Day

9:00 AM - Gathering & Prayer
9:15 AM - Morning Sessions
11:00 AM - Liturgy with Bishop (Mass)
12:00 PM - Lunch
1:00 PM - Afternoon Sessions
3:00 PM - Sending Forth

Cost is $55 which includes a personalized spiritual toolkit and coaching with Mike Patin throughout the day, a light morning refreshment,  lunch, and Mass with Bishop Dennis Walsh. Lunch includes delicious catered-in build-your-own sub sandwiches and fresh salad!
